TVA EnergyRight has released a series of significant updates that expand financial opportunities for energy-efficiency projects across the region. For contractors, commercial facility managers, and Preferred Partners Network (PPN) members, these newly enhanced options make now one of the most valuable periods to pursue TVA Energy Right Rebates. With incentives and rewards available through December 31, 2025, pending available funding, organizations planning 2025-2026 rebate opportunities should begin evaluating potential projects immediately.
Tiered PPN Cash Rewards Offer Up to $100,000
The centerpiece of the latest announcement is the Tiered PPN cash rewards program. For a limited time, active PPN members can earn up to $50,000 for each qualifying incentive project, with the ability to submit up to three projects. This creates a maximum earning potential of $100,000 for members who take full advantage of the opportunity.
The reward rate increases based on the number of projects submitted:
• The first project submitted by a PPN member earns $0.01 per kWh saved.
• The second project earns $0.015 per kWh saved.
• The third project earns $0.02 per kWh saved.
This structure is intentionally designed to reward PPN members who deliver larger, more impactful energy-efficiency improvements. TVA EnergyRight also shared an example to demonstrate how quickly these rewards can accumulate. A first project achieving 85,470 kWh in energy savings would earn $854.70. A second project saving 207,153 kWh would earn $3,107.29. A third project delivering 2,263,224 kWh in savings could earn $45,264.48. Reaching higher energy-savings thresholds makes it easier to approach the $50,000 per-project cap.
Key Rules and Conditions to Keep in Mind
PPN members should be aware of the following requirements:
• The tiered reward offering closes on December 31, 2025, or when program funding is depleted.
• Fast Track Lighting Incentive projects do not qualify for the tiered rewards.
• Each project is capped at a maximum payout of $50,000.
• Each PPN member is capped at a total of $100,000.
• Only three projects can be submitted for the SPIF tiered reward opportunity.
These conditions help ensure rewards go toward projects that produce measurable energy savings and long-term value within the TVA service region.
15% Bonus Available on Select Incentives
In addition to the Tiered PPN cash rewards, TVA EnergyRight is offering a separate 15% bonus on several high-value incentive categories. If an incentive project is submitted by December 31, 2025, and while funding lasts, a 15% boost will automatically be added to the base incentive amount.
The bonus applies to:
• Indoor and outdoor LED lighting incentives
• New construction lighting incentives
• Custom energy-efficiency incentives
For commercial property owners and energy-service providers, this added bonus can significantly improve project ROI. Lighting upgrades, new-build energy-efficient designs, and custom mechanical or operational improvements all stand to benefit from this limited-time enhancement.
Why These Opportunities Matter Going Into 2026
Many organizations are already planning their capital improvements for the next one to two years, especially as 2025-2026 rebate opportunities are gaining importance in long-term budgeting. With the combination of TVA Energy Right Rebates, tiered PPN cash rewards, and the additional 15% bonus, the next 12–18 months represent a rare chance to maximize financial returns on energy-efficiency upgrades.
Funding availability is limited, and project slots for PPN rewards can fill quickly. Organizations interested in lighting retrofits, custom energy-efficiency solutions, or new construction improvements should begin planning and pre-qualifying their projects sooner rather than later.
By acting before the end of 2025, commercial customers and PPN members can capture unusually strong savings at a time when energy-efficiency investments are more important, and more valuable, than ever.
