Eligibility and Specifications
The ComEd instant discount program is available to commercial, industrial, and public sector customers purchasing qualifying products from participating distributors between August 15 and December 31, 2025. To qualify, products must meet certain specifications. Many incentives apply only to ENERGY STAR® or DesignLights Consortium (DLC®) listed products, and in most cases, UL® listing is also required. This ensures customers are not only saving money but also investing in quality, reliable lighting solutions.
Not all products are eligible. For example, display case and refrigerated case luminaires are excluded from the program. Customers should confirm eligibility with their distributor prior to purchase to guarantee the incentive applies. Offers are subject to change, and actual savings will vary depending on energy usage and utility rates.
Why These Rebates Matter
One of the most common barriers to LED upgrades is the initial cost. Luckily, incentive programs, like ComEd’s, offset the costs to make retrofits affordable. With these instant discounts, organizations can replace outdated lighting with high-performance, long-lasting LED solutions at a fraction of the price. This not only reduces energy consumption and operating expenses but also supports sustainability goals and compliance with state energy efficiency laws.
